Mark Jones - Joint Managing Director

Mark has spent 25 years in the asset finance industry and is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable people currently working in the sector. Having gained his basic grounding with the finance subsidiaries of Lloyds and AIB Banks, Mark went on to become a founder and Director of what remains one of the UK’s largest general asset finance brokerages. Recognising the pivotal role that professional advisors play in the business funding market, Mark left to set up Business Funding Portal as a key resource to this sector.

A Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Robin has firmly established his credentials both within the corporate world and as an entrepreneur. Robin’s earlier career was spent working to senior positions in major companies throughout the world; including spells in USA, South Africa and France. After leaving the corporate world, he has successfully built and run businesses as diverse as manufacturing, publishing and Internet marketing. With undoubted commercial acumen, Robin also brings a welcome ‘outside the sector’ vision to Business Funding Portal.

Paul Williams
Partner - Vehicle Sourcing & Contract Hire
A doyen of the vehicle Contract Hire industry, Paul combines a background in personal and commercial banking with a passion for everything vehicle-related. Paul commenced his career with Midland Bank, where he swiftly moved into branch sales and achieved significant success within their Personal Financial Services division. On leaving Midland (By then HSBC), Paul joined Lombard Business Finance - Europe’s largest asset finance company - where he worked closely with the local business community to develop his area into the best performing in the UK. In 2000 he decided to set up his own vehicle consultancy and brokerage offering a unique blend of corporate professionalism and personal service. The business now services a customer base ranging from new-start businesses to large PLCs and Paul and his team advise not only on financing options but also on all aspects of vehicle supply and fleet management. Mike has over 12 years experience in the insurance broking industry having commenced his career as a graduate trainee with the UK’s largest national broker. In 2003 he moved to his current employer where he made his mark very quickly and was promoted to the main board 6 months later. As an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Broker, Mike has proved his technical credentials to the highest possible standard. Kevin Weaver

Having spent his early years in the Military, Kevin now has factoring experience spanning 20 years. He joined the debtor finance market as an auditor with Security Pacific in 1989 and, having passed the Factors and Discounters Association Diploma progressed into successful business development roles with both International Factors and Lombard.
